Tremezzo Reeded Sideboard

The case turns around both ends in a single curve, so there is no corner anywhere on the piece. White oak, finished pale with the grain left open, wraps the sides in one continuous sweep.

The four doors are reeded their full height in fine vertical lines, close enough that they read as texture from across the room and as rhythm up close.

The top is where Tremezzo departs from its sibling, the Varenna. Instead of sitting inside the frame, the marble overhangs the case on every side and its edge is cut in two stepped moldings, so it catches light twice and looks thinner than it is. The corners follow the radius of the case below. Veining varies from block to block; the piece shown is representative, and yours will differ.

Bar pulls in antique brass, finished at each end with a small ball, are paired at the center of each pair of doors. Below, an oak rail with rounded ends sits on a recessed brass plinth, lifting the case just clear of the floor.
