Cantù Sideboard

The Cantù Sideboard carries the bobbin line of the Cantù bookcase into a low, long form. Five columns of turned bobbins run from top to plinth, one at each end and one between each pair of doors.

Each bobbin is turned from solid oak and set into the frame in a continuous line, with the spheres matched by hand so each column reads as one even line.

The four doors close flush with no visible hardware and open with a light press. Behind each is an adjustable shelf, and cable openings at the rear let the piece work as a media console.

The top is a single plane of oak with a crisp square edge. The case stands on a recessed plinth fitted with leveling glides for uneven floors.

Dust the bobbins with a soft, dry brush to reach between the turnings, and wipe the top and doors with a dry cloth, following the grain. Use coasters and mats on the top, and keep the piece out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources.
