Siena Console Table

The Siena Console pairs a thick slab of breccia marble with two pedestals turned from solid walnut.

Each pedestal is made in two parts: a full sphere beneath the top, and below it a bell form that narrows at the waist and flares into a broad, rounded foot. The two parts meet at a fine reveal, so the sphere appears to rest on the bell.

The walnut is turned on the lathe and finished by hand. The grain follows the curve of the bell and gathers into rings around the sphere.

The top is three inches thick, with fully rounded ends and a softened edge. Breccia is a stone formed from fragments fused together over time, so every slab carries its own pattern of pale stones and dark seams, and no two tops are the same.

The top and pedestals are delivered separately and assembled in place by our white-glove team.

Wipe the marble with a soft, damp cloth and blot spills straight away, especially wine, citrus and coffee. Use coasters under glasses and avoid placing hot items directly on the stone. Dust the walnut with a dry cloth, and reseal the top once a year.
