Cantù Console Table

The Cantù Console brings the bobbin line of the Cantù bookcase and sideboard to a lighter, open form: a slim top, two drawers and four square legs.

On the front legs, a single column of turned bobbins runs from the apron to the floor and ends in a half-sphere at the foot. A short column of five bobbins divides the two drawers.

Each bobbin is turned from solid oak and set into the leg in a continuous line, with the spheres matched by hand so the row reads as even from top to bottom.

The drawers close flush with no visible hardware and open with a light press. They are dovetailed and run on full-extension soft-close slides.

Dust the bobbins with a soft, dry brush to reach between the turnings, and wipe the top with a dry cloth, following the grain. Use coasters and mats on the top, and keep the piece out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources.
