Procida Woven Sideboard

The case is white oak, pale and quiet, with a top that runs edge to edge and is rounded over at the front corners. Into it are set four doors, each holding a panel of tightly woven natural fiber that brings texture without pattern.

Every panel is outlined by a slim line of brushed brass, inlaid where the weave meets the oak frame and turned through the same soft radius at each corner. A second fine brass line runs beneath the doors, tying the four together.

The legs grow out of the base in a single sweep, curving outward from the case and tapering to the floor, where each is finished with a brass sabot. Faceted brass bar pulls are paired at the center of each pair of doors.

Behind the doors there is room for table linen and serveware in a dining room, or a media system in a living room; the weave lets a remote signal pass through.

Dust the woven panels with a soft brush or the brush attachment of a vacuum on a low setting, and keep them dry; blot any spill at once. Dust the oak with a dry cloth, and wipe the brass with a dry cloth only. Keep the sideboard out of direct sun, which changes the tone of both oak and natural fiber over time.
