A carved pedestal drawn from the classical tazza — a shallow dished top above a fluted column, cut in solid stone. Small enough to sit beside a chair, heavy enough to stay where you put it.

DETAILS

The form is the tazza — the shallow footed bowl the Greeks cut in stone and the Renaissance carried into gardens and halls. Set at chair height, the dished top reads as a tray rather than a monument.

The underside of the bowl is gadrooned, the pedestal fluted, and the two meet at a turned collar that takes the light differently through the day. Every face is cut and finished by hand — no mold, no cast, no veneer over a core.

A raised lip runs the edge of the top, deep enough to keep a glass from travelling and shallow enough to disappear from across the room.

Cut from natural stone, no two are alike. The pattern shown is representative rather than identical to the piece you receive.

CARE

Dust with a soft dry cloth. Blot spills at once — stone is porous, and acidic liquids will etch a honed surface. Use coasters beneath glassware.
